Job Summary: The University of Alabama System is receiving applications for the part-time position of Administrative Assistant. The Administrative Assistant will provide administrative and limited technical support for the Intercampus Interactive Telepresence System (IITS) located at The University of Alabama at Birmingham campus. This position is benefits-eligible.



REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• A high school diploma
• Five years of relevant support experience
• A professional demeanor
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Exceptional skills in Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively, cooperatively, and strategically across all functions, levels, and departments
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously



PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
• Relevant technical experience
• Experience with web-based videoconferencing platforms


RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING
• Receiving calls, mail, and visitors
• Providing technical support, including first-tier Zoom Videoconferencing support
• Providing backup support for Polycom bridging services
• Researching and compiling data and electronic files
• Conducting online research
• Maintaining files
• Drafting reports, correspondence, brochures, and user guides
• Assisting in preparation of materials and planning meetings
• Distributing information to and responding to inquiries from internal and external contacts
• Assisting with various projects as assigned
