Job Summary: The University of Alabama System is receiving applications for the position of Administrative Assistant. This position will be based in Tuscaloosa on the campus of The University of Alabama and will support multiple attorneys in the Office of Counsel.

• High school diploma or GED;
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a receptionist/administrative assistant role;
• Ability to represent office in a professional manner on phone, e-mail, and in person and interface effectively with employees at all levels;
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Word;
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks;
• Excellent organizational and planning skills;
• A superior record of dependability and job attendance; and
• Ability to maintain strict standards of confidentiality.

• Answering department telephones and greeting visitors;
• Assisting with mailing, scanning, and copying documents;
• Preparing correspondence, documents, and reports as required;
• Processing vendor payments and expense reports;
• Processing open records requests;
• Organizing and scheduling meetings, conference calls and related logistics;
• Maintaining and ordering office supplies; and
• Various other duties as assigned.
