Job Summary: The Athletic Broadcast Producer assists with pre-production planning and live broadcast productions for SEC. Prepares graphics list for insert graphics in broadcast shows. Prepares pre-produced video content for broadcast shows. Prepares broadcast show rundowns and works with announcers to determine storylines for broadcast shows. Produces various live events in video control room. Utilizes understanding of live event production, control room etiquette and overall chain of command in a live environment.


Additional Department Summary: Provides pre-production planning and live broadcast productions for the SECN+ digital and SECN linear networks.


Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in broadcast communication, telecommunication and film, journalism, or graphic design and two (2) years of broadcast or multimedia editing, production, and/or experience; OR master's degree in broadcast communication, telecommunication and film, journalism, or graphic design and some broadcast or multimedia editing, production, and/or experience.


Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Must be able to travel and work on weekends and holidays as necessary.


Skills and Knowledge: Comprehensive knowledge of all current video software and industry video equipment (Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Photoshop, Evertz Dreamcatcher, Ross Xpression, etc.). Knowledge of production staffing and workflows.


Preferred Qualifications: Degree in Communication, Broadcast Communication, Telecommunication and Film, Journalism, Graphic Design, or related field. Sports production experience. Working knowledge of studio shows and live productions.
