Job Summary: The Director of A-Club Alumni Association provides strategic leadership, vision, and oversight of all A-Club programs, events, and initiatives designed to engage, connect, and support former student-athletes. Serves as a liaison between the University, Intercollegiate Athletics, and the association’s membership to foster lifelong relationships that strengthen alumni involvement and advance the mission of Alabama Athletics. Oversees member engagement, communications, special events (reunions, recognition ceremonies, etc.), and stewardship efforts. Manages budgets, partnerships, and long-term strategic planning. Oversees all aspects of the A-Club Alumni Association, the official letter-winners organization of the University of Alabama Athletics Department. Manages and promotes the A-Club Alumni Association to past letter-winners and current student-athletes. Increases membership in the A-Club. Develops communication to A-Club members through the website, emails, social media, etc.
Additional Department Summary: Organizes and manages A-Club related events, including reunions, golf tournaments, fundraisers, scrimmage watch parties, A-Day activities, etc. Works with the A-Club Executive Committee on oversight of A-Club and future strategy for the A-Club. Creates plan(s) to engage A-Club members in career services and alignment with University Name, Image, and Likeness activity. Serves as liaison between the Red Elephant Clubs and the Athletics Department.
Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and six (6) years of athletic department administration, fundraising, marketing, or public relations experience; OR master's degree and four (4) years of athletic department administration, fundraising, marketing, or public relations experience.
Skills and Knowledge: Strong communication, interpersonal, public relations, planning, and organization skills. Ability to establish priorities. Basic knowledge of the usage of personal computers and standard application software (word processing, spreadsheet, database management, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications: Degree in Business Administration, Sports Administration, Marketing, Management, or related field. Experience with a letter winners association. Experience in intercollegiate athletics, higher education, or a not-for-profit organization. Experience with Paciolan.
