Normal Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm


Job Summary: The ACRE Program Coordinator collaborates with Alabama Center for Real Estate (ACRE) staff to develop, implement, and assess comprehensive real estate workforce development programming for real estate students. Oversees ACRE's Career Opportunities in Real Estate (CORE) program, a national entry level workforce development certificate program executing tenets of awareness, readiness, and connection. Oversees ACRE's Collegiate Career Assistance Program (CCAP), the Center's platform for serving the next generation of real estate talent and the firms that provide experience and employment opportunities while benefiting in the process. Supervises student employees in leadership roles for student organizations related to real estate.


Additional Department Summary: This position is vital to the overall success of ACRE and our overall effectiveness as perceived by potential and enrolled students/parents, the statewide/national real estate industry, alumni, donors, VIP guests, and our Advisory Board. This position is part of a small team that executes Center programs and initiatives that have a direct impact on Center operations and the allocation of financial resources.


Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or higher and some experience working in real estate, career placement services, or workforce development.


Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Must have valid U.S. driver's license. Must be at least 19 years of age at time of hire and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report that is in compliance with University policies. Applicants under the age of 21 will have some driving restrictions.


Skills and Knowledge: Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Proficiency with computer systems and programs (word processing, excel and database management software, effective email service usage, etc.). Excellent public relations and customer service skills. Knowledge and understanding of the real estate industry, associations, and organizations and related workforce issues. Ability to interact effectively with people from a variety of backgrounds and experiences.


Preferred Qualifications: Two (2) years of experience working in real estate, career placement services, or workforce development.
